Create Young Authors Bookmaking Project Kit Overview
This is a kit to give your child (Kindergarten to High School) an opportunity to author their very own book. They write and illustrate the book on the pages supplied with no limit on words. If you want more text, you just need to shrink the font size. You can then drop off the pages (if in Madison, WI area) or mail them in the provided envelope. In about 2 weeks, you'll receive a fully bound hard cover book back (a certificate for one free hardcover binding is included in the kit). Grimm Book Bindery, Inc. has been hardcover binding since 1854!! Yes, that's not a typo - 1854 - over 150 years of binding experience. We've had these kits available for years at our shop in Madison, WI but in the past few years have added them to Amazon to offer to a wider audience. If desired, when sending in your child's manuscript, you can request additional copies be made for Grandparents or friends. This product is not only fun for your kids, but educational too! Children are thrilled when they see their own story transformed into a REAL BOOK! Being an author stimulates imagination and creates a great sense of accomplishment with increased self esteem. You'll treasure their book for years to come and THEY can one day read it to their own children.Note from Bindery Manager: The stories that your children create are AWESOME! I love looking over each one that comes in & when time permits (which is about 99% of the time) I personally write a quick & encouraging note to the child complimenting them on their work. I feel that each is a work of art & kids just don't get enough positive reinforcement. I STILL recall an English teacher that encouraged me when I was younger, so at Grimm Bindery, we want to plant that same seed in the Young Authors that send in their work for binding.

- Cost of kit INCLUDES prepaid coupon for a full hardcover binding by our binding staff. Once your child has written their story, you just send it in and get a REAL BOOK back bound in a hardcover with book cloth and beautiful gold printing on the spine and front! When possible (about 99% of the time) we also include an encouraging hand written letter to the child complimenting their efforts to help to build their self esteem.
- Great for younger children up to teenagers! Can be used for High School writing projects to get that A+.
- Binding service included in price can be a hardcover cloth binding with the title printed in gold, black or white. Or an option can be added where we will use your child's illustrated title page to create a full color printed cover of THIER exact artwork (not a stock cover, but what they have designed). - Kit includes 25 preprinted pages, 20 with illustration frame for child's drawing and room below for story to be written, 2 title pages & 2 about the author pages (an extra in case of error), 2 blank pages and one "the end" page. There is no limit on words or text as we will bind what is written on the page. (The ACTUAL pages that you send in are bound into the book). Child can hand print story directly onto page or type in word processor and then feed through your home computer for printing. No special program is needed!
